Thread the 2 straps thru the opening on top of the frame (where shoulder straps come through), and over frame on the outsides next to the shoulder straps, then between the pack and crossbar and the thru the 2 slot holes on bottom of the frame. Finally, through the metal tension locks on bottom of the Ali-pad. (tighten  securely)

Tools Needed:

  • Heavy weight paper. Construction paper or poster board will work well. (1 sheet)
  • Marking device (Pen or Pencil)
  • Tape
  • Hole making device. (#3 hole punch or Pencil type soldering iron, or something similar)
  • Hex wrench supplied with your Kydex Holster (6004 series).

Step One: Making a Template

1) Remove Kydex holster from existing platform and save mounting screws.

2) Place Kydex holster on table with mounting holes facing upwards.

3) Mark the Heavy weight paper "up side" on one side and "down side" on the other to help aid in future instructions. Place heavy-weight paper (you may wish to cut paper down to just slightly larger than holster for easier handling) on top of Kydex holster with one edge of paper flush with sight rail side keeping the paper side marked "up side" closet to holster . The “down-side” will now be facing upwards and clearly visible. (See picture A)

4) Use Pen or Pencil and locate mounting screw holes. Gently apply pressure until pen or pencil pierces the paper over the mounting screw holes. After all mounting screw holes have been located, apply more pressure with pen or pencil in previous markings until a clean hole is made in the paper. (Picture B)

Step Two: Transferring Template to the HSG/UDHP

5) Place the template onto the HSG/UDHP with the sight rail side adjacent to the stitch line (Picture C) next to 1 1/2" binder webbing on the platform. Make sure the template side marked "down side" is next to the HSG/UDHP and the "up side" is now clearly visible upwards.

6) Adjust the template up or down to determine the vertical position that the Kydex holster will be placed within the UDHP.

7) After the desired vertical position of the template has been determined, mark the holes with a pen or pencil directly onto the UDHP.

8) After transferring the hole mounting pattern to the UDHP, place the Kydex holster over the transferred template marks to check for corrections if needed. Also, while holding the Kydex holster on the UDHP, fold over the outer covering to make sure proper vertical placement is correct. Re-adjust if necessary by repeating steps 5 - 7. (Tip: Use a different color of pen/pencil or mark more clearly if needed)

Step Three: Making the Mounting holes

9) ********* Before making holes, double check position relative to holster placement. *************
If at anytime you are uncomfortable doing this yourself, HSGI will place holster within the UDHP Free of Charge. Customer only pays shipping.

10) Ok, you decided to go forward. Now, with a hole punch, make the hole over the marks or use a pencil type soldiering iron to pierce holes.

Step Four: Attaching Kydex Holster to UDHP

11) Place Kydex holster over the mounting holes on UDHP.

12) Replace mounting screws through the UDHP and into the Kydex Holster.

13) Use caution when replacing the mounting screws as some of the screws may be too long. You need to either cut them down or replace with new screws which you may obtain from your local Hardware store.

14) Fold over the outer covering and fasten the hook and loop securely.

15) Secure the 1" webbing into the tension lock.

Step Five: Final Adjustments

16) Attach the Modular Pistol Mag pouches if desired.

17) Place on belt and adjust reach and leg straps.

If at any time you have a question on how to assemble your HSG/UDHP, please do not hesitate to contact HSGI for further instructions.
